Vanilla

Tired of all the servers that have “vanilla” in the title, but then you read on and they boast about commands, cosmetics, and plugins up the wazoo?

That’s not vanilla.

Well this is. Actually, really, truly, vanilla Minecraft (the way it was meant to be played).

No teleports.No /home (so tread carefully).No magic books full of commands.No build protections. No fancy spawn zone.No advertising.

…And no special privileges for “donors”!

This is the real deal. Vanilla, public, Minecraft multiplayer. Just like back in the day.

Admin is an old school MC player going back to the beta days, a former griefer with a sense of humor, does not take the game too seriously, and does not go on powertrips.

FreedomChat is one of the (very) few plugins in use. Free speech, foul language, and political in-correctness are all welcome. You must turn off “Only Show Secure Chat” in your Minecraft client. Admin assumes zero responsibility for the speech (or actions) of players.

As a general rule, griefing is not allowed. Exceptions might be made for greifing that is actually creative, skillful, and funny. Randomly pouring lava and smashing chests is dumb and unoriginal. In the interest of keeping things vanilla, hacked/modded clients are also not allowed. Suspected modders/X-rayers will be monitored for suspicious behavior and subsequently banned if caught. OptiFine and shaders are approved, as they do not affect gameplay.

What do I mean by creative and skillful griefing?

-Tunneling under someone’s base and silently stealing, one item at a time, very slowly from just under their nose.
-Leaving funny/mean signs.
-Smashing their bed, and only their bed, so they have to walk all the way back home.
-Growing trees all over the place so they have to cut them all down.
-Walling them inside.
-Rearranging their stuff, but not actually stealing anything.
-Redecorating in a new motif.
-Etc, etc.

Basically smaller scale prank type of griefs. Things that don’t actually undo hours of someone’s effort on a build. Use good judgment. Mindless destruction with TNT, flint and steel, lava, etc. will get you banned.

Just because it is vanilla, doesn’t mean it’s anarchy.
