UneasyVanilla is a semi anarchy server that still feels mostly like normal Minecraft. It is a vanilla style survival world with some rules but also a lot of freedom.
The world has been running for more than four years so it feels old and lived in. Spawn is totally wrecked and full of lavacasts so when you first join you have to escape a crazy ruined area. After you get out you can go far away and start building bases and exploring wherever you want.
The server tries to stay close to the original vision of Minecraft. There are not a bunch of weird custom features. It is mostly just survival with other players where your imagination decides what you do.
The staff focuses a lot on fairness and performance. They ban cheaters fast and try to keep the server running well. There are rules to keep the server playable for everyone but it still has that wild anarchy feeling.
You can play alone or team up with other people. You can build big projects look for fights or just wander around the old world and see what other players have done. It is meant to be a place where every trip can surprise you and every new base feels like an adventure.

ArdynFall SMP is a vanilla style survival server that tries to keep the normal Minecraft feeling while still making things smoother to play. It runs on a long term world that is already one year old and still growing. There are no planned resets so anything you build is meant to stay.

This is a simple vanilla server that has been running for about two years and it feels really chill. The world is backed up a lot and the staff is friendly and helpful. It runs all day and night and does not really lag.
The server is very community based and people like to build together and play co op. Players are even rewarded when they bring friends to join so it keeps the world busy with new groups and cool builds.

Mincecef SMP is a survival server that feels like classic Minecraft. It is mostly vanilla and the server does not hold your hand. There are no easy commands like shop or tpa so you have to travel and trade the old school way.
The world is huge and the border was expanded from 50k by 50k to 300k by 300k. The nether and end also got bigger so there is a lot of loot and land for bases and big projects. There are no world resets so your builds and memories stay.

This is a pure vanilla anarchy server where the owner really wants no pay to win and no hacked clients. There are no kits and no land claims and no protection. Griefing and raiding and politics are all left to the players.
The world is hosted on a dedicated 12 core machine in Germany with 3TB of storage. It has daily backups and a strong anticheat so it is meant to last a long time and not get wiped every season.

So I found this server called GeoSMP and it is a new Vanilla Earth style world. The map is based on Earth and you can make your own towns and build up with other people.
The server is pretty fresh so you can get a nice start and not feel super behind everyone else. It feels really balanced and not pay to win and that makes it more fun to just play and explore.
The owner and staff worked really hard on it and you can kind of tell when you run around and see how everything is set up. They are trying to grow the community and want players of all ages to join and hang out.

This server is a pure vanilla survival world with no plugins and no TPA. There are no staff running around with special powers and no admins changing the story. The story is made by the players.
PvP is allowed and raiding is allowed so you always have to watch your back. You can form teams and make allies or you can become enemies and take revenge. Some people will build and chill and others will hunt for bases.
