Electron SMP is a small survival server that really wants players to talk and interact. It is semi vanilla so it feels like normal Minecraft with a big focus on community.
The server is whitelist only so you have to apply and bad applications do not get in. They even like video applications. Spawn is built by the whole community and griefing is not allowed so people actually work together. Bases are supposed to be above ground and there is CoreProtect to catch people hiding stuff underground.
Pvp is allowed so you can fight players and steal items but you are not allowed to grief builds or kill villagers. There are no kits and no pvp zones so the gameplay stays close to vanilla survival. The server uses simple voice chat or proximity chat so talking and planning with a mic is a big part of the experience.
There are special Diamond SMP style events that work like ARG challenges. You can compete for limited netherite rewards the dragon egg and one unique mace each season. Players are encouraged to bring friends build teams create rivalries and join in server wide competitions and challenges.
The community wants people who will stay active be friendly and help shape the server over time with new ideas. You need Discord to join and the application is on their website.
