Frontline Combat is a modded server that is all about squad based team pvp with a battlefield style feel.
They run regular events every week and they keep trying to make each one better. The server also uses their own custom mods and content so it feels more unique.

I found a Minecraft football league where you play with bows and crossbows. It feels like a real sports setup but in Minecraft.
They have 8 positions you can pick from. On offense there is a QB two wide receivers and linemen. On defense there is a middle linebacker two cornerbacks and a d line.
If you have good crossbow aim or you can time bow shots then QB is a good fit. If you like PvP brawling then OL or DL sounds best because it gets competitive.
