    Golden Nations is a geopolitical Minecraft server where players make nations and try to survive politics and war. You can lead with diplomacy or just go full conflict and see who lasts.

    It runs on version 1.21.11 and the world is 5000 by 5000 so people are forced to interact early. With no elytras travel and borders matter a lot.

    The economy is player driven so the market is controlled by players. You can still sell food crops and ores but the rest is shaped by trading and what nations decide to do.

    Wars are high stakes because if you die in an official war you get banned for 24 hours and your character is fully reset. Fishing is also changed with custom loot tables so it can give rare stuff that matters.

    There are no villagers so there is no infinite trading and no easy shortcuts. It feels competitive and every alliance and betrayal can change the map.

    This is a nations server that is always online and it runs both Java and Bedrock so way more players can join. The whole idea is to make your own civilization and keep it going for a long time instead of ending super fast.

    You can claim land and build towns and full nations. You can become a king or emperor or you can just wander around and visit other towns. You can trade with other players and help fund wars between nations.

    Wars are done with role play so you can actually plan them and declare them instead of just random grief. Land claiming and taxes and wars are managed with plugins so it feels more like a real world with borders.

    There is also an overview map so you can see the whole world from above and plan where to build or where to attack.

    The server has a brewery plugin too so you can brew drinks and age them to change how they work and your character can even get drunk in game.

    It looks like a place where you can make deep lore and long stories with other players and not feel rushed and just play when you have time.

    Players can create nations groups citizens and even criminals and then deal with things like worldwide trade routes and player made value. There are real international style relations as groups trade make deals or go to war.

    The server uses mods for interior decorating advanced industry security systems weapons vehicles and even drugs. Most modern ideas can be built in game so people can try complex modern setups.

    Rules are pretty relaxed. Griefing is allowed if it has some purpose but griefing just to destroy for no reason is not allowed and staff decide what counts. You do not have to be nice so you can hunt other groups and fight as much as you want.

    Groups do not need to be realistic. You can make a serious nation or just some weird group that farms one item all day. Right now there are players trying to make the most advanced nation they can and others planning to be nomadic drug traffickers.

    The whole point is to give players tools and freedom so they can build their own ideas and find other people who like the same style of play.

    Lodestone is a Minecraft geopolitics and worldbuilding server that is going into a closed beta. It tries to give a fresh twist on the usual town and war style.

    The main thing I noticed is the spice trade system. You harvest different spices and sell them at spawn and the land you control changes how good your spices are. This makes people want to fight over the best land so the economy and wars actually feel connected.

    The server also uses Towny so players can make towns and nations and go to war with each other. There are chest shops so anyone can set up a shop with a chest and a sign and trade items with other players.

    There is also Auraskills so you can level up a bunch of skills and unlock different abilities as you play. It fits the worldbuilding and war style because you keep growing your character over time.

    Lodestone is a Minecraft server that mixes geopolitics and worldbuilding in one place. It is built around custom ideas that you do not really see on other servers in this genre.

    The big feature is Spice Trades. You harvest different spices and then sell them at spawn. The environment you use changes how good your spices are so some land is way better than others. This makes the economy feel different and also makes people want to fight over the best land.

    The server uses Towny so players can form towns and nations. You can make alliances or go to war with other groups. It feels like a slow build up where towns grow and then big nation conflicts start.

    There are chest shops so players can set up places to buy and sell items with just a chest and a sign. This helps build a player run market on top of the spice system.

    Lodestone also has Auraskills. You can level up lots of different skills and unlock new abilities. Even though Auraskills is not custom it is not common on servers like this so it helps change the usual gameplay loop.

    Right now Lodestone is in closed beta. You have to apply to be a beta tester and then if you get accepted you can join and start playing on the server early.
