TownThrive is a Minecraft server that really cares about player interaction and towns. The whole idea is that players form towns and larger nations and then deal with each other using politics trade and sometimes war.
The rules are pretty simple. You cant use hacked clients xray or any external mods that give an unfair advantage. Stuff like minimap fullbright and schematica are allowed though. You also cant use alts in game or in the discord. Griefing and raiding are only allowed during war so random griefing is not ok.
The server has plugins for towns and nations and there is a player driven economy. There are custom crafting recipes and a custom world generation so the world feels different from normal. There is movecraft and cannons so battles can be more intense. There is a brewery plugin and a minecart improvements datapack too.
The server runs on Minecraft 1.21.1 and is hosted in Florida in the United States. It is up 24 7 and keeps a steady 20 TPS so it runs smooth. It is whitelisted so you have to get on the whitelist before joining.
The server also supports SimpleVC and crossplay with Geyser plus cracked or offline support. Overall it feels like a place where towns grow into nations and wars actually matter instead of just random chaos.

SmokeyMC is a towny style SMP where players build towns and either live in peace or go to war with other towns. The server runs Minecraft 1.21.10 and lets both Java and Bedrock players join so it feels pretty active and mixed.
There are playtime based ranks and jobs so you level up just by playing a lot. mcMMO is on the server too so skills get stronger over time and you feel your character getting better. There are player made shops that use in game balance so the economy is run by the players.
The world has custom terrain plus rtp resource and flat worlds so you can explore different kinds of maps and gather stuff without wrecking your town. There is an online server map where you can see towns and battles which makes the town wars feel more real.
The gameplay feels smooth and lag free and there is optional Discord voice chat if you want to talk with people while you play. There are fun monthly events so players have stuff to do together and the whole place feels like a growing towny community.

Lodestone is a Minecraft geopol and worldbuilding server that is trying to do something new in this genre. It has custom features and the whole server is based around land power trade and politics.
The main thing that stood out to me is the Spice Trades system. You harvest spices and sell them at spawn and the environment you pick changes how good the spices are. So getting better land actually matters a lot for money and it can even start wars over the best areas.
There is Towny so players can form towns and nations. These groups can go to war with each other so it is not just building. You also get chest shops so players can make their own shops with chests and signs and trade with other players.
The server also uses Auraskills. You can level up a bunch of different skills and unlock different abilities which changes the normal gameplay loop and makes grinding feel more interesting.
Right now Lodestone is in a closed beta stage. You have to apply to be one of the first beta testers and then you can join with the IP they give you. It feels like a server for people who like serious worldbuilding politics and wars over land instead of just casual minigames.
