This server is called Greatest of Centuries and it feels like stepping into Europe in the thirteenth century. The whole idea is to give a really accurate medieval experience with cities big trade and almost no modern stuff at all.
It runs on a modpack for version 1.20.1 and the mods focus on medieval life. There are detailed factions and roles so you can pick what kind of person you want to be. You can focus on building big towns or you can get into wars and politics with other groups.
Combat is expanded a lot and there is new armor and new weapons. The map is made to be accurate to the real world area they are using so it feels like a real place not just random terrain. It looks like the server wants people who like roleplay building and fighting all together.
The server feels serious about the medieval theme and it is a good fit if you like history and long term worlds. It is not just quick minigames but more like a whole world you live in.

Nation States is a new crossplatform Minecraft server that uses the towny claim system. The whole idea is that players make nations and mess with politics and trade and war. It is made for people who like roleplay and lore and big conflicts between groups.
The server wants everyone to follow what they call the spirit of the server. That means you should be here to have fun roleplay and help build the story of the world. If someone just ruins the vibe or ignores that idea they can be removed so the overall experience stays good.
The theme is early antiquity so it feels like an ancient world. There is a custom map that is about 5k by 5k blocks so there is enough space for different nations to rise and fight and make alliances.
From what I can see this server is for people who like nation building diplomacy trading and fighting but still want a semi vanilla feel. Players are expected to interact a lot and not just hide in a box all day.

This is an Earth SMP where everyone loves to build cool stuff and chill together. The world is a scaled down version of the real map so you can pick a spot on the globe and start a city town or some giant project.
There are already big builds like a modern city that feels like NYC with skyscrapers and some older European style towns. There is still a lot of open land if you want to start something new from scratch or just expand what other players started.
The server has proximity voice chat so people can talk when they are close in game. There is also dynmap so you can see the world growing from a map view. It supports both Java and Bedrock with cross play plus there are custom heads image maps and armor stands so builders can add tons of small details.
The community is really relaxed and people usually stick around. Players build together hang out and do not take things too seriously. The rules are simple do not grief and do not cheat and you are good to go.
