Zest Creative is mainly a city build server with a longstanding tight knit community that stays active. The world uses a very large custom terrain map and people keep adding to it over time.
You join and build your own city or help with big projects with other players. After a short application you can get access to WorldEdit and other helpful commands. The application is mostly there to filter out griefers.
There is also optional geopolitical roleplay with lore and worldbuilding. You can mark a claim and it gets shown on the map so your story can start. You can even mark towns and settlements too. If roleplay is not your thing you can just build and ignore it.
Rules are laid back and there are events once in a while. Staff and players are usually around to talk critique builds and collaborate.
