Ballistic SMP is a Minecraft PvP server that feels like a big arena with lore and quests. It is only for Java players.
The whole server is built around combat. You can duel other players or fight in teams and the important part is your skill and timing. It is not about abusing overpowered gear or cheap tricks.
There are four mythic weapons and one mythic armor set. Each one is linked to an elemental guardian like Air Water Fire and Death. These items are rare and strong and you have to earn them with quests events and good PvP.
The server has a strong rule against griefing and stealing. Your base and progress are protected so people can fight without ruining each others builds.
There is a lot of lore and worldbuilding. You can discover the story of the four guardians through quests hidden relics and events that change the future of the server.
There are frequent events like air drops that cause quick fights lore events that push the story forward and weapon or armor events where you can compete for mythic fragments and unlock powers.
The world border is 3000 by 3000 so the map feels tight and active. You will run into other players often and every base spot matters. The server opens on December 19 so that is when the battles really start.

This is a vanilla survival SMP called GOOMB SMP and it just had a fresh reset. The world is amplified so the terrain looks super crazy and tall and everyone is starting tiny bases right now.
There is a 2k by 2k world border so players are kind of packed together near spawn. People are making bases close to each other and sometimes even teaming up. The plan is that the border will expand later so there will be more room for big projects and different ideas.
The community is really active on Discord. People are sharing screenshots of the amplified terrain and planning shops and trading deals. It feels like the start of a new season where everyone is excited and setting up their place.
The rules are pretty strict about being respectful. No racism or hate speech and no NSFW stuff. They want the server to stay drama free and mature. There is no griefing or stealing and no PvP unless both people agree so it is pretty safe to build.
