PurpleSMP is a small survival server that is meant to feel relaxing and safe so you can build without stressing about griefers or cheaters. It runs on Minecraft 1.21.11 and it mixes PVE with PVP that you can turn on if you want.
Everyone can use a random teleport command so it is easy to go exploring and find fresh land. There is no world border so you can keep going and start big projects far out.
It has mcMMO skills so grinding feels more fun. The economy is player made with no server shops and no currency. There are land claims to protect builds plus player vaults for extra storage.
Staff takes rules seriously. Every block change is logged and your inventory gets backed up when you join leave or die so staff can restore stuff if it was lost because someone broke rules. There is also a strong anti cheat that alerts staff fast and can take action while it gets reviewed. There is also an online map you can use to see the world like a map site.

LazyCraft is a chill survival SMP I found that really sticks to the no paywalls idea. It is 100 percent free to play and it tries to keep a semi vanilla survival feel while still giving you a lot of helpful commands.
The world is made for long term play. The overworld is huge and the nether and end are claimable. There are also resettable resource worlds in every dimension so you can keep gathering stuff.
PvP is off in the overworld unless you go to the spots where it is allowed. Phantoms are also turned off everywhere which is honestly nice.
Building feels safe because there are strict no grief rules and you can claim land. You can fly inside your claims and start with free sethomes. You can also make towns with Lands and set up player warps.
The economy is mostly player driven. You can sell ores to a server shop. You can trade with players and use the auction house. You can also make unlimited chest shops and there is a special world just for player shops.
For quality of life you get things like feed repair trash and condense without needing ranks. There are craftable mob catchers plus tree feller with auto replant. You also start with player vaults.
