Headrest SMP is a paper Minecraft server that runs on version 1.20.10. It uses a few quality of life plugins so the game still feels close to normal survival but with some nicer features.
The server has a strong focus on pvp and community. There is a safe zone at spawn where people can build shops and hang out. In spawn players can also talk with each other using a simple voice chat mod.
Outside the safe zone players can fight and start wars. Some of the plugins are no elytra during combat and combat log so fights are more fair. There is also a sit command and more small features that make it feel more cozy.
The community aims to be a place where everyone can be friends build bases and still have big battles when they want. You can join to make friends or you can betray them and take part in wars and server lore.
The server runs on a dedicated machine with 20 GB of ram and a 5800x3d cpu to help keep lag away during fights and big events.

This is a huge modded battle server where they run giant colonial style siege events with like 200 people at once. Everyone gets split into two big teams. One team defends a star fort and the other team attacks it and tries to push them out. You get bases and starter gear so you are not totally lost.
The fights are all about guns cannons artillery trenches cavalry charges and big line battles. The map is fully custom and it feels like a giant war field with important spots to capture and hold. It is meant to be the biggest gun battle ever on this game.
There are around 50 to 60 mods including some custom ones and the staff team is super big and active. They say they are beginner friendly and casual friendly and they listen to feedback. You have to join their discord to get whitelisted and follow the rules from their player handbook so stuff stays fair and fun.

This is a vanilla style semi anarchy server with some rules so it is not total chaos. It has a small but active player base and peaks can hit around ten players online later in the day. Early in the day there might only be a few people.
There are two official teams that are supposed to create lore. When you die your head drops so wars and conflicts actually matter. A lot of players also just make teams with their friends and do their own thing.
The server has some qol plugins like veinminer treeminer graves and picking up mobs. There is a world border at 10k for now but it can grow later. Netherite armor is not allowed for now and going to the End is also not allowed for now.

This server is called Kronos SMP and it is a huge Earth map with a 1 to 500 scale. The whole idea is that everyone starts fresh on an empty world with no old nations or broken land.
You pick a real place on the Earth map and try to claim it and hold it. Other players can try to take it from you so it is all about defending or invading.

Ballistic SMP is a Minecraft Java server that is all about PvP and combat. It feels like a PvP simulation where fighting other players is the main focus and winning is about skill and timing and not just broken gear.
