Golden Nations is a Minecraft server all about geopolitics and nations and it actually feels serious.

Here players form nations and rule them with diplomacy or war. You can make alliances and treaties and also betray people and it really matters because the world is limited and there is not endless space to hide.

The economy is fully player based. You can sell basic stuff like food crops and ores but everything else is controlled by trade and production and national decisions. If you control resources and trade then you control power.

Warfare on this server is really intense. When there is an official war and you die your account is banned for 24 hours and your character gets fully reset. That makes every battle scary and nations actually have to plan and take care of their soldiers because losing really hurts.

Fishing is reworked so you can get custom loot. Some rare materials and items from fishing can help change the balance between nations.

There are no elytras and no villagers here. That means no easy flight and no endless trades. Nations have to rely on players and not on shortcuts. The world size is 5,000 by 5,000 so countries get pushed into early contact and conflict. Every mountain and coastline can be important.

If you want politics that matter and wars with real consequences then this server feels like a place where you can actually write history and build an empire.
