UneasyVanilla is a vanilla semi anarchy server that has been running since March 10th 2020. It is built for players who want total freedom and a world that feels like normal Minecraft.
There are no gameplay changing plugins. You will not find teleport or sethome or grief prevention. There is no set economy either so everything is player made.
Griefing and raiding are allowed so you have to stay alert. Hacking and cheats are not allowed. The server supports version 1.21.11.

I found a new SMP server called Extreme SMP and it is made to be very hard. It is not meant for casual survival and it feels like a real challenge the whole time.
The server has a hardcore economy and the players are competitive so you should expect people to play seriously. Progression is tough and you are supposed to earn everything the hard way.

This server is called CollideCraft Time Zero and it feels like you crash into a broken world. The dimension is messed up and space is tight and resources are not easy to get.
It is a semi vanilla SMP with some light lore so it still feels like normal Minecraft but with a story in the background. Survival is not handed to you. You have to earn it and it feels pretty intense.
There is lifesteal so PvP actually matters a lot. There are factions so players team up and form alliances and probably break them later. The plugins are chosen by the players so the community has some control over how the server plays.
There are frequent events and they hint that there is more hidden under the surface so it feels like you will keep discovering new stuff as you play. The server is on Season 3 and this one is called Time Zero so it feels like the world and time are all scrambled.
