Each fish type gives points. Legendary fish give the most points then epic then rare then common. Even junk is worth a tiny bit. Normal vanilla fish do not count at all so everyone is really focused on the special custom ones.
To enter you fill up your chests with all your catches then take a screenshot and post it in the event submissions channel with your in game name. Once you submit you cannot change your chest or your submission. If you move stuff around or add more later it will not count.
The prizes are pretty crazy. First place gets a special Master Baiter title a huge amount of money and rare pearls and spawner fragments. Second and third place also get money pearls and fragments plus event points. The staff says they will need to audit everything so winners might take a bit to announce.
