Kronos SMP is a huge Earth server where the whole world is scaled to 1 to 500 and everything starts fresh. There are no old empires and no giant nations from before. Everyone spawns in an empty map and has to pick a real location and try to claim it and keep it.
The server is all about turning factions into actual nations. Players form groups and then turn those groups into countries. You use strategy and politics more than just grinding. There is diplomacy alliances wars and backstabbing and the borders on the map actually change when people win or lose.
The economy is run by players so power comes from your land and the people who play with you and not from kits or pay to win stuff. Admins do not play favorites. Wars are real and territories can switch hands so nothing is just cosmetic.
This server is for people who like planning and history style drama that really affects the world. It is for players who want to lead scheme or go to war at 3am. If someone just wants a chill SMP this is probably not the right place.
It runs on Java Edition with version 1.20.1 and the host is strong so it can support a lot of players without lag. Once the map opens it is every man for himself.

This is a medieval modded Minecraft server called Anno Domini. The whole thing is about nations wars and roleplay on a big Europe map.
Players can make their own nations and try to grow strong or fall apart. There are wars between nations and people can attack each other and conquer land. You can also use diplomacy and make peace deals or alliances with other nations if you want to survive.

AlkalineCraft is a new beta factions server that tries to make Minecraft feel fun again. The server is mostly custom scripted and focuses on factions pvp mining progression and a clean economy that connects to ALK.
You can make your own faction invite your friends rank your members and fight other groups for power. There is an outpost style pvp area where factions fight for control and earn power so it is really about who can work together and win battles.
The mining system is called ALK Mining. Every block you mine builds up your balance. At the end of the season you can use the withdraw command to pull out your ALK on pump dot fun. So mining actually matters a lot and not just for gear.
You can set homes to save your base and use commands to go back to spawn or teleport into the wilderness or check help. The server is still in beta so they are adding stuff like lucky mining events special items leaderboards and more little features.
The owners want people to test find bugs and give feedback so the full release can be better. Java and Bedrock players can both join so the community can be mixed and more active.

This is a semi vanilla Minecraft server that mixes Origins and Lifesteal in a pretty cool way. The server is really new and only about a week old so players are not super overpowered yet. You can still join and keep up with everyone in progression.
The server has different quality of life mods and immersion mods that make it feel nicer to play without going full crazy modpack. There are Lifesteal mechanics so PvP actually matters because hearts are important. There are many different Origins so you can pick a playstyle that fits you.

DarkHorseMC is a survival server that mixes pve and pvp in a pretty cool way. Most of the world is about exploring and building and surviving. You can make your own base and try to build up your legacy in factions.
If you like pvp there are custom arenas and a MobArena where you can test how strong you are. If you do not want to fight all the time you do not have to because pvp is more optional and focused in those spots.

AvalonEarth is an earth SMP server with a 1 to 500 scale map so there is a lot of space for players to make their own nations and territories.
The server uses Towny as the main plugin so players can claim land build towns and then turn them into nations. Anyone can start a nation because the server gives you starter money so you do not need to grind or meet player requirements first.
Season one started in September and the community from that season carried into season two. The second season is already running and many new players are joining and building.
There is a lot of conflict and wars between nations for players who like PVP and politics. If you do not like fighting you can still live a peaceful life and avoid most wars.

Ballistic SMP is a semi faction style Minecraft server that tries to be fair and unique. The server has four special weapons and each one has its own abilities and lore. There is also a unique armor set that matches these weapons and is part of the story.

MODMIX Factions is a server that mixes old school factions with modern Minecraft.
It is made for players who like grinding and PvP and building bases then fighting to keep them. You can raid with TNT and even obsidian has durability so nothing is unraidable. Faction land claims are there so you can protect your area but you still always need to watch your back.
The server uses MCMMO so you level up skills like swords mining and acrobatics. There are duels player vaults and spawner stacking so you can store your stuff fight one on one and build up your spawners.
You earn your rank by playing and using XP in game money and skills instead of just getting it for free. It runs on the latest Minecraft version 1.21.8 and works on both Java and Bedrock so a lot of different players can join.
Overall it feels like classic factions brought into the new version where building and defending your base matters but you should always expect a fight.
