Turnabout is a semi vanilla survival server that feels like a small friendly world. It is 18 plus and whitelisted so the players are mostly chill adults who actually want to hang out and play together. The server is in its second season and the world is still pretty new so there is lots of space to explore and build.
The community is the main focus here. People are very friendly and there are players from all over the world so someone is usually online. This is a private survival server that feels really relaxed and calm. It is called BuildCraft and it is a whitelisted SMP so people apply before they join. The world is new and still early game but there are already some farms like iron and food so you are not totally starting from nothing.
The server is mostly vanilla but there are some small quality of life things. There is multiplayer sleep so nights are easier. There is voice chat and some discord stuff so people can talk and hang out. Enderman grief is turned off and fire is disabled so builds are safer. This is a vanilla SMP called NotHermitcraft and it is all about a chill community that feels kind of like Hermitcraft. They are starting Season 5 and they plan for it to last around two to three years so people have lots of time to build and make big projects.
The server has people from all over the world and the ages go from teens up to adults. There are builders and redstone nerds and people who like to role play. It sounds pretty welcoming to different kinds of players and different kinds of people.
They run Java 1.21.10 on a server in London and it is pure vanilla survival. They also keep their old Season 4 world as a separate sub server so you can go explore their history and even still build on it if you want.

This is a modded Minecraft community called CircleCube for players who are 18 or older. They run two modded servers and the owner is working on their own modpack that will take a long time to make.
One of the servers is running ATM10 To The Sky and it just launched. The other server changes modpacks if it is inactive for more than two weeks or if the community votes for a new modpack. Right now that server is using a pack called Sunlit Valley and it sounds like it will stay up for a good while.
They also offer world downloads for a limited time after a modpack changes so you can keep your progress. The whole setup feels like a chill place where the players help decide what modpack they want to play on.
