AvalonEarth is a Minecraft earthsmp server with a 1 to 500 scale map so there is a lot of space to claim land and build nations. The server uses Towny so towns and nations are a huge part of the gameplay.
Everyone gets starter money when they join so you can make your own nation right away. You do not have to grind forever first and there are no weird player requirements just to start.
The server is on its second season. The first season started in September and a strong community grew from that. The new season already has lots of new players and feels really active.
There is a ton of conflict and wars between nations if you like battles and strategy. But if you do not enjoy war you can still live a more peaceful life and try to avoid most of the fighting.

SolarCiv is a Minecraft server that puts you on a giant Earth map and tells you to survive and conquer. The world is based on real geography so mountains oceans and land shapes actually matter when you build towns and plan wars.

This server is called Neopoliticia and it is all about Napoleonic Europe on a giant 1 to 800 scale map. It feels like you are playing inside a huge history project but with Minecraft battles and cool gear from that era.
The thing I noticed right away is that it has tons of weapons and items that fit the Napoleonic theme and all of it runs only on plugins. So you do not need any mods to join which is really nice if you hate messing with files.

This server is called 5tarrock and it is a geopolitical world with survival gameplay. You can make towns cities or even whole countries if enough players join your side. The world is not friendly so teaming up is super important.
You can still play solo if you want. You can try being a trader a farmer a shipper or even a pirate. The map is huge and landmasses are far apart so you cannot just stay in one place and get everything. You need to explore trade or conquer other lands to get the resources you want.
The combat here is very different from normal Minecraft. Armor is not just a straight upgrade. Chainmail is better against slashing and leather is stronger and keeps you warm. This makes different regions feel unique instead of everyone racing to netherite.
There is a detailed temperature system but it is not super annoying. Things like torches and campfires keep you warm and if you are deep in caves the temperature does not bother you as much.
The world has its own story too. A comet hit the planet about 125 years ago and crashed into the ocean. It raised the water level by around 40 blocks and changed the coastline. The ecosystem and the mantle are messed up and still trying to balance. Because of that the future world might have some really dangerous events.
