Crescenta is a player led worldbuilding and roleplay server that has been running for over 2 years. The focus is on storytelling and making a living world with mature faces.
The current world is called Gary and it is about 6 months old. It is meant to last for years so it still feels like the early days.
Instead of normal land claims it uses a block based reinforcement system from Citadel. This helps protect your stuff without worrying about chunk borders.
There are lots of nations with their own traditions politics and cultures. You can join one or even make your own and people are usually willing to share land so new players can get started.
It supports 1.21.8 to 1.21.11 and it has Java and Bedrock crossplay.
