You spawn inside a quarantined zone called Alpigus and everyone is stuck inside for the first 7 days. When the wall power fails on March 28th at 1PM EST the wall opens and the Nether unlocks and the End becomes reachable.
There is also a grid failure protocol where a nuke drops inside the wall on March 30th at 10AM EST. If you do not escape before that then you are basically done.
It is not hardcore. There is a land claim system that stops griefing and PVP. It does not stop stealing. You can also toggle PVP inside claims with claim commands.

CollideCraft Chapter II is a survival world that is built around big events and crazy moments. The server is starting a new chapter with a huge finale called the Vortex Event where the old world basically breaks apart.
Right before the event every player even new players gets Creative Mode for one hour. Then everyone is pulled into a place called The Inbetween which is a brutal arena. If you survive the last 10 minutes you get early access to the new world. If you fail you get stuck in Purgatory for 24 hours before you can join the new world.
The new chapter focuses on custom weapons tough challenges and server wide events. Some old convenience plugins are getting removed so the game feels more raw and risky. The Nether only opens after about one and a half weeks with its own event and The End opens after four weeks also with an event.
At the start early access players get a smaller world with a 1000 block border and when the server opens officially the border expands to 10000 blocks. There are weekly events planned every Saturday or Sunday so there is always something going on.
