PurpleSMP is a small survival server that feels really simple but still kind of fancy. It is made for people who just want to chill build and enjoy the game without drama or chaos.
The world still has a lot of unexplored land. You can go out far grab a spot you like and claim it so your builds stay safe. Land claims keep griefers away and staff can also see logs of every block placed or broken.
The server uses mcMMO so you can level up skills and make grinding for resources feel more fun. There is no normal shop system and no server money. All the value comes from what players trade and what they build.
PvP is off by default so it is mostly PvE and peaceful. If you and your friends want to fight you can toggle PvP on. There are playervaults so you get extra safe storage besides your normal inventory.
There is also a live server map that looks kind of like a map website so you can see the world from above. The server has a strong anti cheat and it alerts staff fast if someone looks suspicious. Staff can also restore inventories if someone loses items because another player broke the rules.
The owner started PurpleSMP as a friends only server first and then opened it to the public later so the goal is a long term world and a relaxed friendly place to play.
