Novidium is a simple skyblock server where players build an island, complete challenges, visit/build shops and participate in a player-to-player economy. The server aims to provide a nostalgic skyblock experience without overwhelming UI or excessive plugins.
Players can complete simple challenges like collecting 64 sugar cane to earn items that are otherwise unobtainable. For example, completing the sugar cane challenge rewards the player with dirt.
There are no admin shops on the server, all trading, buying, and selling is done between players. Players need to build a shop on their own island with chests and signs to sell items. Making the shop visually appealing can attract more visitors.
There are two main leaderboards on Novidium – balance leaderboard for the richest players and island leaderboard for the highest level islands. Island level is calculated by the amount and rarity of blocks on the island. These leaderboards provide long term goals and make it easier for players to find islands and shops.
