Ashbound is a Minecraft adventure server that is all about risk and reward. It is not a normal survival world and it is not a minigame hub.
You explore really dangerous zones and go into dungeons to grab loot. Every run you have to decide if you leave and keep your stuff or go deeper and maybe lose everything. It feels tense but also super exciting.
The server lets you play solo or with friends in co op. You can build bases and work on a level and skill system so your character gets stronger over time. There is also risk based mining so even gathering stuff feels like an adventure.
The atmosphere is a big deal here. The server uses custom UI and sound so it feels different from normal Minecraft. The project is still in active development and they are looking for Java and TypeScript devs game designers and especially builders who want to help make new areas and dungeons.

This is a badlands only survival server and it is on hard mode. The whole world is just badlands everywhere and it keeps generating like that forever.
Mining is way tougher here. A data pack makes ores a lot more rare so you have to actually work for your gear. It feels like classic survival but meaner.
The rules are simple and they are posted at spawn. The whole vibe is just simple play and hard survival with no crazy extras. If you like grinding and rough terrain this server is pretty much made for you.

RainFallMC is a simple survival server that feels really chill and clean. It focuses on normal survival but with some quality of life stuff that makes it less annoying and more fun.
There is no spawn so when you first join you get teleported out into the world right away. You just start playing and exploring. PvP and raiding are allowed in unclaimed land so you have to be a little careful out there.
Claiming land works with a golden shovel. Everyone starts with 700 claim blocks but there are no kits so you actually have to play. You can sell items in the shop to buy a gold ingot and then craft your shovel to protect your base.
The server has vein miner so mining ores feels way faster. There are villager buckets that help with villagers and there is a better random teleport so you are not stuck near other people.
The rules are mostly about not being toxic. No negativity and no hovering around peoples claims and no building too close to others. It feels like a place where people want to survive and raid but still respect each other.
Locator bar is turned off so you have to use your brain more. Overall it looks like a chill survival server with some nice plugins that keep it simple but not boring.

This is a hardcore vanilla style SMP that is super new and feels really fresh. The world is less than a week old so you are not super behind everyone.
The server runs the newest Minecraft update and uses almost no plugins. There are no ranks or pay to win stuff so everyone plays fair. If you die you get tempbanned so every fight and cave trip is actually scary.
When you join for the first time you get some starter items and also invis and regen so you can sneak away from spawn safely before other people see you.
The server works on both Java and Bedrock. It is meant for players who want a real challenge and still like a simple vanilla survival world with a big border and strict death rules.

Anarchy Network is a semi anarchy Minecraft server that tries to feel like pure survival. It opened on October 11th 2024 and it runs all day and night. You can join on Java versions from 1.7.2 up to 1.21.10 but they say 1.21.10 is best so stuff does not break.
The server is made to stay close to vanilla Minecraft. There are almost no extra commands or plugins. There is no teleporting no pay to win and no map resets. The world border is huge at 2 million blocks so people can spread out really far.
Griefing is allowed and PvP is allowed so you always have to watch your back. You can use the spawn command to get back to civilization if you went too far away. The nether roof is allowed and phantoms are removed and only half the players are needed to skip the night so it stays playable.
There are still some rules. You cannot use exploits or lag machines or dupes. Spamming in chat is not allowed and harassment or racial slurs are not allowed either. So it is chaotic gameplay but not totally toxic.
If you want a long term semi vanilla world with danger everywhere and almost no restrictions this server is made for that style.

TitanMC is a classic style prison server that is starting Season X and it feels like a throwback to 2014.
The server brings back the original TitanMC features and then tweaks a bunch of stuff to make it more balanced for different types of players. It really pushes progression with 100 Prestiges. The first prestige even has its own special ward where you get a private cell block and your own mine.
Prestige milestones give really strong rewards and some can even beat any rank from the store. There is also a token shop system. Tokens cannot be bought and you only get them by playing. The token shop has everything from the store and extra items too.
The whole idea is to stop the server from being pay to win and let free players keep up if they put in the time. Crates are also not pay to win which matches that goal.
The server runs from version 1.19.4 up to the latest so it works on modern Minecraft.

This is a Minecraft server with a custom Zombie Plague mode. It is fast and focused on PvP. Players are split into humans and zombies. Humans try to live until the round timer ends. Zombies try to infect every human.
There is a monthly leaderboard. Right now the main event is top mob killers. It ends on the 5th of January. The winner gets VIP. Right now only one player really grinds the event so the owner is looking for more people who want to compete.

This is a lifesteal SMP where everything is about grinding and PvP. When you fight it feels really intense and risky because every heart matters. If you like combat and pressure this server fits you a lot.
There is a shop and sell command so you can build up money fast. It makes it easier to gear up and get stacked. You can go out into the wild with rtp and then claim land to make your own base.
The community feels pretty active and there is always something going on. You can play solo or with a group and just choose your own style. Some people chill and build and some people hunt for fights all the time.

This server is built around mining and PvP with a cool element theme.
In Mines you start with a wooden pickaxe and mine stone. You move through mines from A to Z and work your way up to a crazy strong custom netherite pickaxe that can mine diamonds and ancient debris. You sell what you mine to get cash. Then you use that money to unlock new mines or buy better tools and consumables like TNT and haste potions.
Skyminer feels like Mines but it is more about resources instead of money. All the mines are open from the start but you have to gather the right stuff and trade for better tools to really progress. This mode also has custom pickaxes and custom potions.
There is also a combat PvP mode. You pick an element bending style and fight other players using fire water air earth or chi to get an advantage in battles.
The server runs on Minecraft 1.20.6 Java. Players are often online and they use the discord to check activity and start games together.
