I found a modded server that is running the Echoes of Nostalgia Expert modpack. It is hosted by two players and it is open for anyone to join for free.
The main idea is expert style progression so it is meant to be more challenging. There is also optional proximity chat if you want to talk to people while you play.
It sounds like they want a friendly group to hang out and play together so if you like modpacks and want more players around this one fits that vibe.
