CrystalSMP is a pretty new survival server that feels really chill and friendly. It is vanilla style Minecraft on version 1.21.1 but with a special terrain generation mod and a few quality of life mods.
The server is focused on fun cooperative gameplay. People play together build bases and explore instead of sweating super hard. You can use your own resource packs and client side mods to make it look and feel how you want.

SurvivalTales SMP is a semi vanilla survival server that is all about a friendly community and long term worlds. It is based in the EU and it feels like a place where people actually want to play together and not just rush.

This is a survival server called SurvivalMC and it feels pretty relaxed and friendly. It is a semi vanilla style server so it keeps the normal Minecraft feeling but uses some plugins and datapacks to make things nicer to play.

Foxden is a small Java survival server that feels really chill and friendly. It is mostly semi vanilla so it still looks and plays like normal Minecraft but there are some plugins and datapacks that make it a little more fun.
The server just started a new map so everyone is still building up and exploring. It is a good time to join if you like starting fresh with other people. The owner is active and hangs out with the community a lot so it does not feel like an empty server.
The rules are there to keep things calm. No griefing or stealing and do not touch other peoples farms or villagers unless they say it is ok. Qurim SMP is a pretty chill vanilla world that got super popular really fast. When the new season started it filled up to 50 players in like ten minutes and they had to bump it up to 100. It was kind of crazy watching the player list blow up.
Because so many people were loading new chunks the server started to lag really hard for a while. The MSPT went over 100 and it was almost unplayable for a couple hours. Then they swapped to a custom U Spigot jar and the lag just went away and the server felt smooth again.
The server is meant to be simple vanilla with none of the extra stuff you see on a lot of other servers. No easy commands like tp or free enderchest. You just play survival like normal Minecraft and explore and build.
The community is 16 plus and feels pretty relaxed. People talk using Simple Voice Chat so it is more immersive and it feels like you are actually hanging out with everyone. Anyone can join as long as you like a chill vanilla survival style.
