WhimsyWillow SMP is a small modded server that feels pretty cozy and community based. Season 3 is running right now and every mod on the server was picked by the community so it feels like everyone helped shape the world.
There are tons of new biomes to explore and a bunch of extra structures so wandering around is actually fun. Progression has more ores plus new tools and weapons so you do not just rush the same gear like every other world.

You do not buy stuff from admin shops. You earn coins by killing mobs and looting chests and then you trade or use the auction house with other players.

Teleport commands are very limited. You get a one time use randomtp to go far into the overworld and you can invite others to come with you. You also have home and spawn but there are no tpa commands to other players.
The server is fully non pay to win. There is only one rank called VIP and it just gives cosmetic perks. There are around 18 to 22 active players. It feels like a tight knit group and they play other games together too. If you like making countries and dealing with borders this server is kind of perfect.

It is mostly vanilla with only a few quality of life plugins so the game still feels like normal Minecraft
The community is tight knit and the players are nice and active and they seem to really enjoy playing together
The staff says the server is heavily moderated so griefing almost never happens which makes it feel safe to build stuff
They recently expanded the Overworld Nether and End borders from about 4.5k to 11k so there is a lot more space to explore and start fresh bases
They also decided to unban some small time offenders and put them on a watch list so they get a second chance but if they mess up again they get banned for good
