I found a Minecraft server called EternalPvP and they are teasing a new location.
It looks like the community is getting ready for a playtest so people can try it early and see what the new spot is like.

I found a semi vanilla PvP server that is inspired by StrengthSMP. The big idea is that you get a strength boost when you kill people so fights keep getting crazier.
If you drop all the way to -10 strength you get eliminated and banned. There is also a revive beacon so other players can bring you back and unban you.
It has a custom spawn and a custom nether portal setup. The worldborder is huge at 100k by 100k. They also say they can run fun events when there are enough players and the launch is planned for 30.01 if the player count is high enough.
