This is a pure vanilla survival anarchy world with an ocean spawn so you start by swimming or boating until you finally find land. It feels like an adventure right away.
The world is really old and first generated in 2011 so you can run into weird ancient terrain and lots of ruins. Newer terrain exists too but you might have to travel far to see it.
The server runs the latest Minecraft snapshot so new stuff shows up fast. Gameplay is not changed by plugins or mods and extra features are done through a custom chat bot with commands like home and tpa and spawn. There are also some goofy commands people mess with.
There is a self regenerating spleef arena in the End and player and mob heads can sometimes drop from fights. The community is small and mostly long time friends and they want more people who like classic vanilla.
There are only two rules which are be respectful and do not try to crash the server. Everything else is pretty much allowed like griefing and hacked clients. Most players are mid twenties or older and a lot are from the US with some other languages too.
