The Lab is a vanilla style SMP that just started a new season and this time it is all about skyblock. It feels like a pretty pure Minecraft experience because everything is still vanilla but they use a skyblock setup so the whole world is basically the void.
From what I saw they use some tweaks so that every resource in the game is still possible to get. So even though you start in the sky you can still work toward getting all the normal stuff over time. The focus seems to be on building up from almost nothing and creating a whole world together.
The server is running on version 1.21.11 and it is hosted in Germany. There is no world border right now so the world can expand as people play and explore.
The vibe is like a group of people who like vanilla survival but wanted a different challenge this season. You join up and slowly grow your sky island and help shape the server world with everyone else.

ScarlettCraft is a Minecraft Java server that tries to be a new home for all kinds of players. When I joined it felt like a place where builders fighters and explorers can all hang out together.
There are a few main game modes. If you like combat there is PvP where you can gear up and fight other players. If you like money stuff there is an economy mode where you trade and try to get rich. There is also skyblock where you start on a tiny island in the sky and slowly build up your own world. And if you just want normal Minecraft there is a vanilla mode that feels like the regular game.
The server supports all Java versions so you do not need to mess with changing versions. You can just join on whatever version you already use which makes it easy for friends to play together.
ScarlettCraft also has rewards for loyal players. The more you play and stay active the more rewards you can earn. It feels like the owners really want people to stick around and be part of the community.
The server is still growing and the team says they are working on adding even more ways to play. So if you want a place with different game modes and a friendly vibe ScarlettCraft is worth checking out.
