PurpleSMP is a small survival server that is trying to be long term and not just vanish one day. The owner made it because they were tired of putting a ton of time into worlds that just get deleted.

The server uses mcMMO so you level up skills and get stronger over time. It feels like your character actually grows the more you play.

You can claim land with GriefPrevention so your builds and chests stay safe from other players. There is also TogglePvP so you can turn fighting on or off whenever you want.

There are extra vaults that act like backpacks so you can carry more stuff on your adventures.

The server is crossplay so people on pc console and mobile can all play together. Discord is required so ranks can sync but everything else is focused on just playing and staying for the long run.

VitaNova is a new SMP that feels like a fresh start. The world is brand new and the server is run by a small group that just wants to build a chill community. It feels cozy and not super sweaty.

You play normal survival but with a claim system using lands so people cannot just walk in and wreck your builds. There is an economy so you can earn money and trade with other players. Jobs let you grind different ways to make cash and it makes the server feel more like a little town.

The server also has PyroFishing so fishing is actually useful and kind of a whole thing on its own. There are AuraSkills too so your skills level up while you play and you feel your character get stronger over time.

From the first of January to the thirty first you can use the calendar command to claim free items each day. It makes logging in daily feel like it matters a bit more.

Overall this server is for people who want to build big projects or become rich or just fish in peace without drama. It is simple survival with some plugins that keep it protected and fun.

This is Campbell SMP Season 2 and it is a semi vanilla server that is made for adults. The community is strong and a lot of players plan to stay for a long time.

The world has custom generation with Terralith and Tectonic so exploring feels fresh. People are building up spawn and starting the shopping district so you can join while everything is still growing. The dragon is still alive and there is tons of stuff to do.

There is a progression based tool and armor system. You have to level up skills before you can use better materials like iron and diamonds and they explain it more in their discord. The wither and ender dragon are harder so boss fights are more intense.

The server has regular events and the community runs things by voting on how the server should be done. There is proximity or voice chat so talking and working together feels more natural.

They use things like Bluemap and the Blaze and Caves advancement pack plus a bunch of other features that they list in their discord. Overall it feels like a serious but chill adult SMP where players actually shape how the world turns out.

Legends of Stonehaven is a new medieval fantasy RPG server based on a big modpack. It is built around combat skills and magic so it really feels like an adventure game not just regular Minecraft.

The combat is completely changed with new animations and even a dodge move. There is a detailed skill tree and different origins so your character can feel unique and strong. You can find and use custom weapons armor trinkets bosses origins and divine blessings that are tuned for this pack.

As you explore the world enemies grow stronger the farther you go. There are two main magic mods that give a lot of abilities for both fighting and utility. The overworld the nether and the end all have new biome generation so everything fits the fantasy theme better.

There are hundreds of new dungeons and structures to explore plus five new dimensions to discover. The server also has over two hundred quests that you can do alone or with friends and some of them add extra story and lore about the world. There is even a quest shop where you can spend the coins you earn on useful items.

The pack is made to run well with performance mods to help fps and loading. There are also quality of life things like backpacks and storage systems so playing feels smooth and not annoying.

This is a long term survival server that is meant for people who like slow and steady progression and a world that sticks around.

The server runs Java 1.20.2 and you do not need any extra downloads which is nice if you just want to hop in and play.

The whole thing is based around Economy Points and allegiances which are like factions. You can grow territory and fight harder mobs and unlock more stuff over time instead of getting everything right away.

Progression gives you custom armor and supernatural abilities as your skills go up. You can join or make an allegiance or stay solo. You can trade explore and build and join in conflicts and world events as new systems and tech get unlocked.

There is a World Tree dungeon that is part of the server lore. In there you can do high risk encounters for special armor drops and other unique rewards you cannot craft normally.

If you like to chill more than fight you can still get progression cool quality of life items and Economy Points by building and farming so non combat players still matter.

The server is in beta so they are looking for players who want to test things give feedback and help shape how it all turns out in the long run.

This server is called MODMIX Factions and it feels like old school factions but on a newer version.

You grind a lot here. You fight other players and you build bases that actually get attacked. TNT raiding is a thing and obsidian has durability so you cannot just hide forever.

There are faction land claims but it is not about making unraidable bases. You need to build and defend and expect people to try and break in.

The server uses MCMMO so you level up skills like swords mining and acrobatics. There are duels player vaults and spawner stacking. You also earn your rank by using XP in game money and your skills instead of just getting it for free.

It runs on the latest version 1.21.8 and you can join on Java or Bedrock. Overall it feels like OG factions brought into a modern server with a focus on grinding PvP and real raiding.

Lodestone is a Minecraft server that mixes geopolitics and worldbuilding in one place. It is built around custom ideas that you do not really see on other servers in this genre.

The big feature is Spice Trades. You harvest different spices and then sell them at spawn. The environment you use changes how good your spices are so some land is way better than others. This makes the economy feel different and also makes people want to fight over the best land.

The server uses Towny so players can form towns and nations. You can make alliances or go to war with other groups. It feels like a slow build up where towns grow and then big nation conflicts start.

There are chest shops so players can set up places to buy and sell items with just a chest and a sign. This helps build a player run market on top of the spice system.

Lodestone also has Auraskills. You can level up lots of different skills and unlock new abilities. Even though Auraskills is not custom it is not common on servers like this so it helps change the usual gameplay loop.

Right now Lodestone is in closed beta. You have to apply to be a beta tester and then if you get accepted you can join and start playing on the server early.
