I found a semi vanilla SMP called Astro SMP and it is trying to grow. It started with about 8 players and they want more people to join.
They are looking for 2 more moderators and they want to hit 20 players online at the same time. It feels like a small community server where people just play survival together and try to make it bigger.

It is small right now with around five players who hop on sometimes. They are trying to find more regular players so the world feels more alive.

I found a brand new survival server that is all about a classic vanilla world with pvp drama.
The world has a 5000 block border so running away forever is not really a thing and people will run into each other.
It also has infinite villager trading so trading halls can get wild and you can grind gear fast if you play it smart.
You grab the server info from the discord and then you can jump in and start building and fighting.
