The server runs on version 1.21.11 and it supports Java and Bedrock together. The map is a custom world made for exploring settling and building up civilizations. The economy is player run so you trade resources goods and services with other people.

I found a very early alpha server that is all about late medieval faction warfare with RPG style progression and a player driven economy.
You are not stuck doing one thing the whole time. You can go all in on faction PvP. You can grind like an MMO. Or you can play more independent as a trader gatherer craftsman or contractor who supplies factions and builds for other players.
It has custom crops and custom weapons and armor with special effects. The mobs are stronger than vanilla and there are boss mobs that push you to team up. The economy uses mixed currencies and there is a secure MMO style trading window so trading feels safer.
Players spawn at a main market hub called Osthaven where people buy and sell. You can also set up temporary wilderness camps protected with WorldGuard to help with hunting gathering and travel.
Since it is early alpha they want testers who will try mechanics find bugs check balance and give honest feedback.

Kings Talk is a fantasy modded nations roleplay server where players can make their own nation or join someone else. You can also create your own original roleplay character and decide how you want to live in the world.
The nations grow in an organic way and the modpack has RTS style units plus siege weapons. There is also automation so you can build up your nation faster or go to war.
The map is 3k by 3k and the server is always running. It is on Java 1.20.1 and it is modded with voice chat and a civilization style vibe.

Meraki SMP is a Towny server that is all about building a civilization with other players. You can found a town then claim land and grow it over time. Towns can team up into nations and you can make alliances and treaties so the world feels like politics in Minecraft.
Land choice matters here because towns produce daily resources. People will fight over valuable regions and try to control the right spots so their nation gets stronger.
War is not required but it can happen. Nations can do siege wars and there can be strategic conflicts over resource sites. Some players stay neutral but that can come with a cost.
The economy is player made since there are no admin shops and no villager trading. Players run markets with VillagerMarket or QuickShop so trade and industry become a big deal.
The overworld uses Terra so the terrain looks dramatic and it pushes cool kingdom and city builds. There are quality of life systems like Veinminer plus SmartSpawners AuraSkills and ClickMobs. It also has the Brewery Project for brewing and tavern culture BetterHorses for horse genetics and DiscordSRV for cross chat. Java and Bedrock are both supported.

Mvndicraft is a semi vanilla PvP server about nations that rise and fall. People build big citadels and try to grow their power by making alliances or starting wars.
It has shops and an in depth profession system so you can focus on getting better at a job and helping your side. There are also custom recipes and special resources to hunt for.
The big hype part is sieges and war including battles that can go up to 500 players. There are custom siege weapons and even ships so fights can get wild and feel like a real conquest.

This is a medieval themed modded Java server on 1.12.2 where players build kingdoms and fight wars that can last a long time.
The main vibe is big sieges with catapults and lots of NPC soldiers and workers. People make fortresses and then try to conquer each other step by step leading up to a final capital battle.
The server started last week and a few kingdoms already exist. There is claim protection but it gets turned off during a siege in wars.
It also pushes lore and some RP with a backstory. You do not have to RP if you do not want to.
If you like building there are furniture and building mods plus stuff like Chisel and Macaws mods. If you want PvE there are structures and bosses and they plan to do PvE events too.

You claim land and build up a nation using Towny. People make alliances then declare war and try to take towns with SiegeWar. There is no arena stuff. fights happen right on the world map for territory.
The cool part is the flying and naval warfare. You can pilot custom zeppelins and warships with Movecraft. Dogfights happen over continents. You can blockade ports and even carpet bomb fortifications.
You can also grind resources and trade to get stronger. There are player shops plus mcMMO for skills. Combat uses custom weapons plus Cannons and Movecraft Combat so wars feel strategic and heavy.
It runs on version 1.21.11 and it has a live map you can view. You can hide yourself from it with the dynmap hide command. The discord works like the forums and all are welcome.
