LoungeSMP is a chill survival server made for long term play and the world never resets. People build bases that stay and it turns into a real place over time.
The world border keeps expanding so exploring still feels new. Players set up shops and trade with each other and there is a money system with jobs and quests.
The server also runs events like build competitions parkour and other games. The community feels friendly and you actually see players teaming up to start towns and big projects.
A big update is coming soon with a new spawn an expanded world and some new features being tested. Bedrock players can join too with a port that is changing soon.

I found a really chill Towny server called GamerHub Towny. It is pretty new and it started as a server for streaming but now it is trying to grow into a bigger community.
The world has no resets and the rules are simple. Griefing and stealing are not allowed so you can build and relax without worrying.
It has an ingame ranking system that uses ingame money. There is dynmap so you can see the world. You can use player warps and player shops. There is a sell only server shop too.
Jobs are on the server and MCMMO is included. It usually has a few players online but when the owner streams on Twitch it can hit 10 or more.
