Anarchy Network is a semi anarchy Minecraft server that feels really close to pure vanilla. It launched on October 11th 2024 and it runs all the time on a host in New York City.
The server is made for people who like survival with almost no rules. There are no map resets and griefing and PvP are fully allowed. There is no pay to win at all and there is no random teleport. The only main command is spawn so players far away can still get back to other people.
The world border is 2 million blocks so there is a lot of room to explore and to hide bases. The server removes phantoms and lets you use the nether roof and only half the people online have to sleep to skip the night.
You can join on Java from version 1.7.2 up to 1.21.11. It is recommended to play on 1.21.10 so things work better and you do not run into weird bugs.
Even though it is semi anarchy there are still a few rules. Exploits and duping are not allowed. Lag machines and spam are not allowed. Harassment and racial slurs in chat are also not allowed. Everything else is mostly up to the players so the world is shaped by what they do.

This is a hardcore style pvp smp where everything is about risk and reward. It is a small beta season made for around twenty to twenty five players so it feels more personal and intense.
The main feature is crazy. Every time you kill another player you get plus one heart and plus one damage permanently. You keep those buffs unless you die. If your hearts ever drop to zero you get banned forever from the season. So every fight actually matters a lot.
Because of this the server is perfect for pvp players trappers and people who like mind games. You can trick people into traps or fight them straight up and each kill makes you stronger. If you do not like direct pvp you can still become powerful because you can craft extra hearts and strength using really expensive items. That way you can grind and get strong without fighting if you want but it takes work.
The whole style feels hardcore and scary because losing means you are out. Players have to think before every fight and every alliance. It is semi vanilla so it still feels like normal Minecraft but with this one huge twist that changes everything.

There is a plugin that makes elytra renewable through fighting the ender dragon. There is a simple chest shop system that uses a currency you can swap with diamonds. Only one player needs to sleep to skip the night.

The world is 5000 by 5000 so everyone is pretty close. This makes borders and terrain really important. There are no elytras so you have to move on foot or other normal ways. There are also no villagers so you cannot just get easy gear from trading.
The economy is run by players. You can still sell basic stuff like crops and ores but most things depend on trade and what nations decide to produce and control. If someone controls a resource they can control a lot of power.
