Theurgy is the magic and research group that acts like greedy sorcerers. Your House actually matters since they control different resources everyone needs.
The world gets harder as players progress. At the start it is normal difficulty. When the first player reaches the Nether the whole world becomes hard. When someone gets to the End the world becomes extreme. The wild part is that the actions of your House help push these stages so you kind of work together early and maybe fight later.
There are also three gods named Scythia Leonidas and Bremen. Each god will run one big event this season where Houses compete and winners get divine favor. That makes their House stronger. Players can also do deeds for the gods to get gifts.
