This server is called Straight Up and it feels like old Minecraft but on a huge long term world. The overworld has never been reset since 2019 so there is a lot of history to find and old bases and stories all over the place.
It is survival with no land claims no /tpa and no /home. There is no currency and no factions or big economy plugins so the game is just normal vanilla survival. PvP is on and griefing is allowed so you have to be careful where you build and who you trust.
They use proximity voice chat if you install the Simple Voice Chat mod so you can talk to people who are near you in game. The server is optimized to run smooth and they have anticheat that tries not to mess with normal players but still stops big exploits.
Overall it is a pretty serious survival server where players shape the world and nothing gets wiped so every build and every fight can stay there for years.

Staff only watches that the system does not fully break. They do not control wars or events. Wars alliances trade laws and even languages all come from what players decide to do.
I saw that there are already players from Europe like French and Italian. One district just started using English as a shared language on its own. Nobody planned it. It just happened because people needed a way to talk.
New players join as migrants from outside. They bring their own culture language and way of organizing. You do not need to act like a roleplay character. You just pick an ideology and then live with whatever happens because of that choice.

Eden Block is a survival server that wants to last forever. The world is not supposed to reset so players can build a long term place that keeps its history.
The server mixes a few different styles. There is almost no admin intervention and what players do really matters. The goal is a player run world where groups and nations can grow over time.
You can use stone and other blocks to reinforce your builds. This makes griefing super hard because each reinforced block has to be broken many times. There are also snitch blocks that record what people do around them so you can track what happens to your stuff.
Mining and farming are different here. Ores can appear while you mine and biomes have different ore rates. Crops have different growth speeds in different biomes and some crops will not grow in some places at all. Crops take a while to grow even while chunks are unloaded and they are used to make XP in factories.
There is a plugin called Itemexchange that lets the economy grow naturally by the players. Shops are already set up and a central trade hub is being built by members of a few nations.
