MCRespawn is a survival server that is trying really hard to be stable and smooth. It is built around survival gameplay and they care a lot about performance so things do not lag out all the time.
The server has a custom economy that uses mob head drops so killing mobs actually feels extra rewarding. There is also a live web map so you can look around the world and show off your builds to other people.
The uptime is around 99.5 percent so it is online a lot and feels dependable. The community is described as friendly and welcoming for players of all ages so it is not just super sweaty tryhards.
Right now the server is brand new and in early beta. The owner Conner is online a lot and if you join and say hi you can get a beta tester item as a thank you for helping the server early.

This server is called Stormy Lagoon SMP and it works on both Java and Bedrock so a lot of different players can join together.
It feels like a simple survival world where people just want to hang out and build and play. There is no crazy info or long list of game modes so it seems more like a normal SMP for people who like chill gameplay.

This server feels like the old school Minecraft I remember. It is a simple survival SMP with no crazy extras. You just join and play the game like normal and it feels super clean.
The whole idea is to be pure and classic. There are no weird gimmicks and no overcomplicated plugins. It is all about surviving building and exploring with other people.
The community seems friendly and focused on working together. People like to create stuff hang out and just enjoy the game. If you like playing with others but do not want a messy server this feels really good.

The world has custom generation so it looks really cool with big valleys and hills that are great for huge builds and base projects. While you play you can level up skills with McMMO so your character actually feels stronger the longer you stay on.

This is a survival multiplayer server called Cobble and Commons and it is super focused on community and being fair. It is in beta right now and the owner wants players to help shape how the server grows.
The server has a full player driven economy. You use a jobs system to earn money and then you can set up your own shopkeeper to sell stuff to other players. Because of that the market is built by players instead of a boring admin shop.
There is also an objective based rank system. You rank up by doing tasks and objectives instead of buying anything. Each rank you get gives you more rewards and new features as you keep playing.
You can get custom items and cosmetics just by playing on the server. You can also buy them with the money you earn in the player market. There is a special winter event going on with snow and Christmas themed tools and unique pets as rewards if you take part.
The coolest part is there is no monetization at all. There are no paid ranks no donation goals and no pay to win stuff. The owner self hosts the server so it can stay up even if there are not many players and there is no money pressure.

SmileMoreCraft is a new survival SMP that is made to last for a long time. The map is not planned to reset so every build you make can stay. It runs the latest 1.21 plus versions on both Java and Bedrock so a lot of different players can join together.
The server is mostly chill survival and it is not a pvp server. There is grief protection so your base and your stuff can be safe while you work on big projects. The staff is active so it feels like someone is keeping an eye on things.
There are jobs you can do to earn money and a custom MMO style system so your character can feel stronger the more you play. You can follow quests and also use a separate resource world when you just want to mine and gather without wrecking the main map.
The server has custom pets custom items and custom fishing so there is more to do than just vanilla stuff. There are also custom mobs custom models and over 400 balanced custom enchantments but it still feels like regular Minecraft with extra features added in.

Cozyvale is a brand new vanilla survival server for players who are 18 and older. It is run by a small group of friends and it feels like a chill place where everyone can just relax and play.
The server is basically vanilla but it has a few quality of life features. Only half the people online need to sleep to skip the night. Leaves disappear faster so chopping trees is not as annoying. You can use a simple voice mod to talk with other players and there is a map you can open in your browser so you can see the world.
There are some fun details too like player and mob head drops and being able to re dye dyed blocks. You can also make concrete using cauldrons. Mob griefing is reduced so your builds are a little safer but the game still feels like normal survival.
The server does not have teleport commands and it does not have pay to win stuff. The owners are open to more small quality of life ideas that still keep the game close to pure vanilla. If you want a cozy 18 plus survival world with a small friendly community this server is made for that.

This is a chill ATM10 SMP server that I found and it looks pretty cozy. Right now there are four players and they want to grow to about ten people total so it stays small and friendly.
The server is running All The Mods 10 on version 1.21.1 with a few extra mods added in. They are looking for players who are around 20 years old or older so the vibe is more mature and relaxed.
It seems like a place where you can just hang out play modded Minecraft and slowly build stuff with a small group instead of a huge chaotic server. If you like modded survival and want a small adult community this server looks like a good fit.
