Outercraft is a modded SMP server with a medieval high fantasy world. It is survival and it has optional roleplay so you can just play like normal or get deep into stories with other players.
The world feels like man versus nature. Seasons change and the land can be harsh. You explore big continents and lots of different biomes. There are magical creatures and ancient threats and also other players trying to survive.
The modpack is really diverse. You can focus on magic and arcane stuff. You can fight with better combat and gear and even recruit villagers and use siege engines. You can go sailing and explore the oceans or chill on farms and cook and craft with food mods and instruments.
The terrain is upgraded with new world generation so wilderness feels fresh and pretty. There are extra structures and loot systems and also more mobs and survival overhauls so the game is more intense.
The community is described as kind and helpful. Groups are welcome and there are no wipes so your builds and stories can last a long time. In roleplay you can make your own characters and even invent races states and religions and tell stories together if you want.
