Bramble SMP is a modded Java roleplay survival server where you make a character and decide who you become. You can lean hard into roleplay or just play it like a normal SMP with building farming and exploring.
The vibe is medieval fantasy and the world has ongoing lore. You can build a small farmstead or try to grow a huge kingdom. Players can make towns form alliances and even start wars if that is the story they want.
It also has a currency system so people can trade open shops and hire others. Land claiming is there too so you can protect what you build. The server is whitelist only and you get in by submitting a character.
The main lore hook is about divine siblings and a realm called Bramble where souls were judged. The god of death vanished and now things are messed up and you can dig into that mystery while you play.

This is a new worldbuilding server made by a group of friends who have been on a lot of these servers for years. They are trying to fix the usual problems like dead or corrupt staff and boring war and diplomacy.
The world is a 15k by 15k vanilla style map so it does not feel like another Earth copy. You can build towns and nations with Towny and you must pay upkeep or your place can fall apart.
War is handled more old school and less locked down by plugins. Players can pick different ways to fight and even make their own rules for conflicts. There is also an outlaw style where you stay vulnerable but you can also attack anytime.
The End is enabled for players to explore and raid but elytras are removed to push more player made travel. Redstone is mostly allowed and the server is tuned to feel as close to vanilla as Paper can be as long as you do not cause big lag. TNT duplication is disabled and there is a dynamap too.
The server opens at 1 PM EST on 3/13/2026.

Sea of Treasures is an open world Minecraft pirate server where you pick what you want to be. There is no storyline or questline telling you what to do. You just carve your own path.
Players can build huge ships and sail across open seas. You can start kingdoms make crews and go hunt down other ships and sink them.
You can join the Marines and rise in rank. Or you can become a pirate and search for the pirate king tomb to get the only mace. There are treasures spread across islands so you can get rich and build a whole fleet.
It is a non profit server on a paid host. There are no pay to win lootboxes or items. Everything can be earned by playing.
The release is planned for June or July.

I found a persistent sandbox RPG server that is in a whitelist test phase and it is all about player choice and long term impact.
It feels like the kind of world where alliances can grow then break and cities can get raided and fall. The economy is meant to be driven by players so prices and markets move because of what people do not because an admin steps in.
PvP is a big deal here and it is not just free killing. There is a bounty system and reputation matters so fights can have consequences.
There are advanced land claims with layered protection so serious groups can build settlements and hold territory. Progression is not a guided story and it is more like you make your own path with custom leveling mobs RPG classes skills and quests that unlock perks.
There is also a central NPC capital that works like a trade hub for commerce recruiting and reputation. A custom dimension is being worked on to add more land for politics and economy.
The server is aimed at 18 plus EU players and it is hosted in a German datacenter. The vibe is competitive but emotionally mature and it expects patience since the world is still in development.
In game politics warfare raiding and betrayal are allowed and power is earned. Out of game respect is required and hate speech and real world hostility are not allowed. Admins try to stay hands off with clear boundaries and there is no pay to win.
