Gorilla City SMP is a survival multiplayer place that feels like it wants you to settle in and do your own thing.
You can claim your land so your builds feel safe. There are tons of new biomes to explore so roaming around stays interesting.
It also has an economy where you can make cash using different vendors and there are auctions too. The wild part is you can even craft blasters so it is not just normal survival gear.
Sea of Treasures is an open world Minecraft pirate server where you just pick what you want to do. There is no storyline or questline pushing you around so it feels like a big sandbox.
Players can build massive ships and sail across the seas. You can make kingdoms and start crews and get into ship sinking fights.
You can join the Marines and rank up. Or you can become a pirate and hunt for the pirate king tomb to grab the only mace. There are treasures on islands too so exploring can actually pay off.
The server is non profit and it is hosted paid. There are no pay to win lootboxes or items and everything is meant to be earned by playing. Release is planned for June or July.
I found Iperios and it is a modded server where players can make their own nation and run it how they want. You can pick a form of government and set laws and ranks for your group.
If you do not want to start from scratch you can also join a nation that already exists. It feels like a mix of survival and roleplay where the community decides how things work.
The server uses the All the Mods 10 modpack and it says version 5.5. To get in you join the Discord and ask for whitelist then a staff member helps you and gives you a beginner kit.

Garconia is a Minecraft server that is trying to be a real democratic world inside the game. The whole idea is that the players run everything and make the choices. You can try to become a big politician or a rich business owner or just build a calm home out in the countryside.
