This server is called Apotheosis Anarchy and it is all about wild survival without hacking. The idea is you get that anarchy feeling but everyone has to play fair.
It is mostly vanilla but the terrain is changed and there are a lot of new vanilla style structures to find. So the world feels fresh and kind of epic but still like normal Minecraft.
You can make factions with other players and stick together. People build bases and try to get stronger over time. Other players can grief those bases and try to knock you down so there is always some danger.
There is open combat between groups so pvp is a big thing here. You can pretty much do whatever you want as long as you are not cheating. The main rule is no hacked clients and no exploiting.

Anarchy Network is a semi anarchy Minecraft server that tries to keep the game close to vanilla. It launched on October 11th 2024 and runs on a host in New York City.
The gameplay is simple survival with very few rules. Griefing is allowed and pvp is allowed so you always have to watch your back. There is no pay to win and there are no map resets so your builds and bases can last as long as you can protect them.
You can join on most Java versions from 1.7.2 up to 1.21.10 but the server recommends you use 1.21.10 so you do not have issues. The world border is set to 2 million blocks so there is a ton of space to explore.
The server has almost no commands. There is no normal teleporting but you can use spawn so players far away are not totally alone. Nether roof access is allowed and phantoms are removed and only half the players online are needed to skip the night.
There are a few basic rules so the server does not get ruined. Exploits are not allowed and lag machines and dupes are not allowed. Spamming and harassment and racial slurs in chat are also not allowed. Besides that the world is pretty much open and players can do what they want.

This server is a small modded world that runs the Origins mod with some extra quality of life stuff. It uses simple voice chat so people can talk in game and it has lootr for better loot sharing.

Foggy Willows is a server that is actually real vanilla. It runs on the normal minecraft server jar with no datapacks and no plugins at all.
When you join there is no crazy spawn or long story to read. You just appear in the world and start playing. Players are expected to deal with their own social problems so how you play is really up to you.
You can build what you want and play how you want. Technical Minecraft players are welcome here too. The server is always on the latest stable vanilla jar and it is self hosted on a machine that was built just for it.
