AvalonEarth is a geopolitics earth style SMP where the map is scaled 1 to 500 so there is a lot of space to build nations and claim land.
The server uses Towny so players can make towns and nations instead of just random bases. Anyone can create a nation because the server gives starter money and there are no player count requirements to begin.
The main way to make money is by doing jobs and farming and fishing. The owner also plans to add more ways to earn soon.
AvalonEarth started its first season in September and built a strong community. Now it is in the second season and lots of new players have joined.
There are many conflicts and wars for players who like fighting and strategy. But if you do not like war you can still live a peaceful life and try to avoid the fights.
Overall the server feels like a place where you can choose your own way of playing with nations wars or calm town life.

The server uses Towny so players can claim land and build towns and nations. Anyone can start a nation because you get starter money when you join. You do not have to grind forever or meet some player requirement just to claim land.
This is the second season of the server and the first season already built a strong community. The new season is getting lots of new players and it feels active and alive.
If you like conflict and wars there are a lot of them here. But if you do not like fighting you can stay peaceful and avoid most of the wars and just live your own calm life.

Nation States is a new semi vanilla server that is all about building nations and telling stories. It uses the towny claiming system so you can make towns and turn them into big countries with your friends.
The whole server is focused on nationbuilding diplomacy trade war and lots of interaction between players. People are encouraged to roleplay and make lore for their nations. You can make allies or enemies and fight over land on a custom map that is about 5k by 5k.
The theme is early antiquity so it feels like playing in really old times with young empires and new kingdoms. The server wants everyone to follow the spirit of the server. That means you should be here for fun roleplay lore and conflicts and not just to ruin the experience for others.
If someone does not follow those core principles they can be removed so the server stays fun and competitive for everyone. It is also crossplatform including console so lots of different players can join and be part of the same world.
