Ok hi. Overlong life story of this server:
so basically me and my group of friends have gone through a cycle of starting up heavily modded SMP type servers with most of them dying out after only a few weeks. We’ve come up with various attempts to solve our inevitable server burnouts which is a situation I’m sure many of you can relate to.
And we’ve come up with a solution… by stripping back the game and harnessing the classic golden age mindset, by starting a vanilla server and just… playing the game without any massive preconceptions or goals or ideas.
The server started off pretty normally. A few of us sorta scattered in different directions and started building bases or whatever. But one of us decided right off the bat to create a lavacast at spawn… ok, why the fuck would you do that??
Well maybe we were all feeling a little bored of playing the game normally, because we started actually helping the guy expand the cobblestone lavacast since frankly it was kinda funny.
Well, this and that happened and we are now basically termites that live inside of a cobbblemonster that is slowly but surely growing due to our grueling efforts of placing down lava and water buckets respectively. It even got big enough to swallow an entire village which was basically casted by the descending lava. Sorta like one of those anthill videos on youtube.
If you’re looking for a chill, simple but gimmicky vanilla experience that hearkens back to the old MC days, feel free to join us. We don’t intend to grow that big or anything; we’re just a group of friends bein dudes inside of a stupid mass of cobblestone. God we hate it here. Fuck.
