The main world never resets so your base is safe from random wipes. If you need materials there are resource worlds meant for gathering. You can claim land and set player warps so it is easier to live near others without getting griefed.
There is a player economy with shops and an auction house. PvP is optional and there is an arena where you can choose keep inventory or go all in. You can also do jobs quests and orders plus spawner collection with Divine Touch. There are cosmetics crates and vote rewards and the server runs regular events and contests.
