This is a semi vanilla PvP server inspired by StrengthSMP where fighting actually changes your power. When you get kills you gain strength and it can make you feel way stronger over time.
If you drop down to -10 strength you get eliminated and banned. There is also a revive beacon so other players can bring you back and unban you which makes teams and drama matter a lot.
It has a custom spawn and a custom nether portal setup. The worldborder is massive at 100k by 100k so there is tons of space to run hide and build.
The server started on the first of January and the owner says it runs on 24GB of RAM with an 8 core 16 thread CPU at 4.60 GHz. They also want to run fun events once more players join.

Someone else can pick it up and use a special revival shrine to bring you back if they want to spend the effort and tons of resources.
Because of that the server feels super social. You are safer if other people actually care if you stay alive. Alliances form and break and people remember who helped and who just walked away. There is no pay to win and no way to buy loot so what you do in game is what matters.
The world is almost infinite with a world border far away so you can wander off and live alone if you really want to. But trading heads and helping revive friends pulls everyone back together. The server runs Fabric so redstone and TNT duping and stuff like that works and people can build crazy machines and cannons.

Astral Realms is a hardcore style SMP where you only get 3 lives. There are ways to get revived so it is not a one and done server but dying still really matters.
The world has custom world generation so the landscapes look different and way more interesting. There are custom coded items and new ores so it is not just normal vanilla gear.
The server is semi anarchy and focused on PvP survival. That means there is not strict protection everywhere and players can fight and mess with each other while still trying to survive.
