The Garden SMP is a Java 1.21.11 survival multiplayer server with lots of plugins that add extra flavor. It is built around worldbuilding adventure and roleplay so people can make stories and actually interact.
Players start with 3 lives and you only lose lives through PvP. If you lose all 3 you become a ghost and the afterlife becomes your thing. Other players can also bring someone back using a craftable revival book.
Some vanilla stuff is disabled to fit roleplay like Elytra and Ender chests. This pushes people to build roads and ports and other infrastructure instead of just skipping travel.
There are also features like chest locking with trial keys and lockpicks to break in. You can make chest shops brew alcohol and use a bunch of quality of life changes.
When you join you wake up in the clouds then descend the Monolith to begin. You can pick a race for your character like elf halfling merfolk giant or human then wake on the docks of Isla De Viva Eterna. From there you can sail to the mainlands and claim land or live in a town with others.
