If you like collecting there is a custom FTB Quests setup to guide you and pay you back with rewards.
The server has in game currency that you earn from quests and daily rewards. You can use it to start a shop and join the shopping district with other players. There is also a resource overworld dimension that resets sometimes so resources stay available and exploring stays worth it.
