ArcticMC is a new survival server that started a couple days ago. It mixes Towny and factions so you can build a town and claim land then team up with others or fight over territory.
PVP matters here but it is meant to be honorable. There is an honor system and it is explained in their rules.
It also uses McMMO so you level up skills while you play and unlock abilities as you progress. There are custom items too and they even have furniture that is entity based so they plan to limit it per chunk to help with lag.
The world gen is tectonic style so the terrain looks more realistic with big mountains and valleys. The community is described as calm and friendly and more about chilling and exploring than nonstop chaos.
