Waychest is a custom-built Minecraft experience that extends vanilla survival mode with an emphasis on exploration and building. It is a hybrid of a public multiplayer server and a private Realm where players can start their Journey and discover a shared world.
The Journey system places you and anyone you choose into your own shared survival world with a random spawn point, allowing multiple Journeys with unique progress and partners.
Waychests are special chests that guide Journeys to find each other in the world and reward those who seek them out. Players can craft and place Waychests to guide others to their builds.
This minigame challenges players to pass through rings to reach a Waychest built by a stranger. It involves crafting an Elytra and engaging in in-world flying challenges.
Discover warp points to unlock fast travel between certain blocks, allowing for quicker exploration in the shared world.
Integrated region protection is available by placing Waychests to protect specific blocks and containers within an expandable area.
The “Radiance” effect allows players to skip the night without skipping it entirely. It prevents nearby surface mob spawns for the rest of the night in the shared world.
Custom advancements are available for every non-vanilla mechanic, providing players with goals and progression paths without needing to consult external resources.
Waychest does not feature any premium perks, donator tiers, or money-related transactions. It ensures a fair playing field for all players.
