Origin SMP is a survival multiplayer world with a tier system and PvP progression so fights actually mean something and you can build a real story around it.
It runs on 1.21 and it works for Java and Bedrock players. The map is finite at 2500 by 2500 blocks so you run into people a lot and things feel intense.
It is semi anarchy with no land claims so trust and politics matter. It still protects the long term story because random griefing with no purpose can get rolled back.
There is proximity voice chat so you can talk during deals and threats and betrayals. Items can have randomized perks and you can level them up which makes artifact style gear a big part of the server.
