AtlasCivs is a Minecraft server all about geopolitics and roleplay. The world does not reset so everything people build and all the lore they make actually matters. Players make their own nations and stories and the whole server is focused on worldbuilding.
There is a 6k by 6k area you can claim. Both personal bases and big national builds are protected so people can work on big projects without losing them. The nether is 1 to 1 with the overworld so players are pushed to travel using rails paths canals and other routes instead of just quick shortcuts.
Nations on the server do diplomacy war and trade. Making your own nation is easy but you do not have to if you just want to join others. The community really likes creative projects. People are into writing drawing music videos and more and all that stuff is encouraged.
The server uses Coreprotect and regular players can access it. There is proximity chat so you can talk to people who are close to you in game. Elytras are removed so travel feels more grounded. Player heads drop on death and there is multiplayer sleep. The server is on Java and there is a whitelist that only needs your in game name and age.

Halcyon is a medieval style Lands PvP server that feels like old school survival but on the newest Minecraft version. It was started by a postgraduate medievalist and you can tell they really care about the atmosphere.
The world is custom made with big unique biomes. There is no teleportation so travel actually matters. Players build long roads waystations and even secret underground railways. The F3 menu is turned off so navigation is hard and people use lodestone compasses and maps or even watch the sun and moon to find their way.
The gameplay is designed to be tougher with some limits that slow down progression. It makes meta tricks and pure automation less important. Instead you win by being brave making smart trade deals building strong cities and castles and leading other players to your banner.
There is no strict server lore you have to follow and no fixed adventure path. You just join pick a direction punch trees and see what happens as you meet other players. Over time people have started making their own art books myths and superstitions and the world feels like it is telling its own story.
